    Monterey Historics Caravan

For those of you who care to join us, we will be leading a small group of enthusiasts up to the Historics. We will be leaving Costa Mesa at 8:30am on Wed, 8/13. We will be stopping in Santa Monica around 9:30am to pick up a few others and then will be heading up the 101 to the San Marcos Pass. That should be the last time we are on the freeway the rest of the way up.

This will not be a super fast aggressive drive (like we have been known for), but more of a fun tour up with plenty of stops to rest. We will be taking some great roads that many of you have never been on.

For more details, please contact me at paul@autokennel.com or 714-668-0345

No wine on the golf courses for me but I'll be at the track 3 days hanging around Judge Joe's pit.
The Shelby-McLaren was the only McLaren to use a 'big block' Ford Engine. This Shelby-McLaren driven by Peter Revson in the Can-Am Series has just undergone a full restoration which includes an Aluminum 427 FE engine that was taken out to 492 cu.in.

We will be getting up there on Wed. night. We usually grab a bite to eat somewhere on Fremont street where we are staying. We will be spending Thursday following the rolling tour and going to downtown Carmel. Probably will be going to the Mexican Cantina across from the quail on thursday night.

I'm coming from the other direction Thursday morning. Is there any Corral or Porsche parking at Laguna Seca over the weekend?

There is, but you have to buy tickets through the local PCA group...or you can try the BMW club who share the corral with the PCA.
