    1965 complete motor for sale

I bought this engine to help a friend restore a 65 we bought, but since we've located the original motor.

It is very complete and original. The motor turns through very well and was stored properly in doors and dry stroage for many years.

That being said one must consider it a core needing a freshening.

Engine number is 903022 type 901/01.

The only item I am aware of that's missing is the throttle cross bar for the carbs.

Asking my purchase costs of $5,500 plus shipping etc.

I prefer to have it picked up but can load onto a pallet if you arrange shipping. Located in So. Cal.

I've been advised this is actually an early 66 MY motor build in 65.

    Thanks Chuck for the clarification.

I would like to know / wonder if there is a difference between a 65 MY vs a 66 MY motor build in 65. Both have solex carbs. Any other differences?

I don't think so, the spec book is the same for both motors.

Late in 66 they changed to Weber carbs so those are obviously different.
