Still looking for a good Sporto 911

    Hi guys,

I am still in the market for a nice 911 with Sporto.
Preferably 69-73, but early G-models considered if they are neat.
    Only correct solid cars please?
    Contact me at: jr@2-shores.com

    Thanks,
    carnut

    Ditto

Likewise, I'm looking for a '69-73.5 Sporto coupe or sunroof coupe - no concours car but a good solid presentable driver.

Given that interest in Sporto cars - coupes and targas - is on the rise of late, hopefully that'll result in more resources (e.g. repro parts, rebuilding expertise) being made available for owners of these cars.

Good luck; here's hoping we both find what we're after!

Bump - Cliffs Notes version of what happened: I was second highest bidder by $100, expressed interest if highest bidder didn't come through; got message that had happened, was offered car at highest bidder's price; attempted to arrange PPI; was then told car sold to someone else. Discussion with PPI mechanic, who told me seller had a reputation of selling cars that were not quite as they were presented. Have seen posts from new owner on the bird board describing problems with the car that were not presented in the eBay ad and that would have surfaced with a PPI.

    70 911E Sporto

    Hi Car nut,
Here is a picture of my 70 911E Sporto w/MFI. Very few of these made. Very nice, straight car, never any rust, no accidents, very low milage, always garaged and seldom driven. (I see you are a midwest dealer and so you know these cars spend most of their lives in winter storage and so often present with low miles).
One repaint from original silver to red. Very presentable.
    Located: Ann Arbor
Let me know if this is of interest.
    Thanks
    Dan
