WTB right side factory mirror for 1973

Will pay top dollar for a Factory Real Nice or NOS, mirror for the right side of a 73. If you have one that is good enough to restore, let me know

WTB right side factory mirror for 1973

Eade, I don't think there was a right side small rectangular mirror to match the left side. In right hand drive countries I think they used the large Durant which could be used either side. There are now repros of the small rectangular mirror for the right side. This is all based on what is in the 72-73 parts book.

    Eade,

So you mean a period 'late' Durant round outside mirror..... right ?

There was no small retangle for the right side......

    Cheers

I thought there was a right side factory mirror. Oh well, I will just pull the repro mirror off of the right side. I spoke with my body shop, and they can do it and match the small spot perfectly. I have decided to keep the 73E, it truly is a great car I want to make sure it is 100% correct. Cheri said she would like the car, and as I have always said, "Blondes Do Look Good In Blue Cars" And add to the fact that she is a Gemini herself, having a Gemini Blue car should work out just fine

    Hey Eade,

This is a little off topic but.......

Just for curiosity, are your saying the picture of that beautiful U.S. '73 is Gemini Blue? It might be the lighting but it looks to me like it's Blue Metallic. Check the paint code tag on the front door post and see if it's #335 (330) Gemini Blue, and not #334 (324) Blue Metallic.

Here's some side by side pics of Lars' Gemini 72S and my Blue Metallic... what'cha think?

Eade, just got your PM, then I read this thread.

Chuck is right, in Australia and I think other RHD countries, we used the round Durants. I think your US regulations required a certain minm surface area for teh rear view mirror hence the rectangular ones you guys have.

Here is a pic of the drivers side mirror on my RHD 72E coupe.
