    Wink Extreme hardcore head porn!!!

Double entendres aside, the title is no lie. Check out my newly CNCed heads for my 2.3L ST motor. Sick flow and unreal velocity...ovaled, offset and 'D'ed ports, sick internal contours, you name it. These heads are going to make crazy power all over the powerband. This is what Steve Weiner and Dick Evelrude come up with when they get bored.

    For comparison:

    Kenik,

...do you really intend to get these dirty by actually using them ?...
    Seems a shame !

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

Steve Weiner is on this board as well. He is from Rennsport Systems (OR).

I wondered how long it would take before someone started CNC'ing 911 heads. The VW industry has been doing it for 5 years +. You can now buy a set of brilliant VW heads for half of the cost of having them ported by a guru just a few years ago.

How big are those ports Kenik?

These heads come in at about 38mm intake, 37mm exhaust, but not being round, it is hard to quantify. I had them ported to my displacement and cam specs, but am waiting to hear back from John Dougherty now that he has the flow numbers as to whether we need to touch up the cams. I want it PERFECT.

    The specs:

Fully detailed 3R case (shuffle pins, squirters, light mooning, every oiling mod known to man, etc)
    85mm JE pistons @ 9.5:1 CR
'69S heads - ported as shown
Twin plugs (still debating which system to use)
DC44 cams (custom grind; .490 lift at both lobes; 102 deg lobe centers)
    Titanium valve retainers
    RARE 47mm 4-bearing cam carriers
    Nickie cylinders
Rebuilt 2 liter 'S' rods w/ ARP bolts
    Cross drilled crank
    Fully balanced internals
Fresh 930 oil pump, with full race chamfer on the internals
    2.4S spec MFI pump
38mm-ish (match bored) magnesium MFI stacks and TBs
    Lightened '69S flywheel

Planned to be good for between 210 and 220 HP (crank) at 7800 RPM. Torque production should be the stuff of legend due to head and cam matching. Should be fun; the car is already running a fully built 901 gearbox w/ AFKQX short gears.

Steve is also going to be in charge of the exhaust: custom Geroge Narbel headers with custom RennSport system muffler. This is the last part of the torque production special sauce.

    Thumbs up

    Kenik,

1st - With all the spam this site is getting it's lucky I saw your name on the title of this thread before it deleted it without looking...

A word to all... PLEASE don't pic a sexual thread title or 'handle'. With all this crap we're getting it just makes job a bit harder then it needs be......

    2nd - VERY inpressive heads bud !!!!! .....
I think of the simple machcanical stuff I did on my 2.7 rebuild that others have now done, and I can't help thinking that the head work we did still gives my motor a little edge on some of the others. And work we did was NOTHING like the work you've done....
... With the specs you've given it should be a bloodly rocket...

3rd - How much do you figure the 'ready to run' car will weigh?

    Cheers and go'on'ya,
    Chuck
