    73 RS wanted

    Hi all,

First time poster here, but been lurking for a while. I’m a veteran Ferrari chat member, but recently been bitten by the 911 bug. I’ve been racing a 69S in HSR, and I am now seriously looking for a 73 RS, preferably a lightweight. I know most available on the web, hoping to find one for sale privately.
Also looking at a lightweight in italy, number 046, if anyone has any info on that one it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t pretend to know a tenth of what you on the board do, and I humbly ask for your help!!
Thanks, with warmest regards, Mark Gold

    might be worth an email

David Gilhooley has been the RS registrar for Porsche Club Great Britian for a good few years - might be worth asking him about 0046 - email him via PCGB on carrerars@porscheclubgb.com.

    Hi Mark,

There are 2 'Lightweight' RS cars currently listed on Dr. Konradsheim's site. One, I think, is a first series M471 Gluf Orange car #465. The other one is an interesting car as it is a Homologation version, which is the rarest of the different RS trim models. Only 17 were delivered this way and this one is #1470. He is asking a 'King's ransom' for this one though.

I'm not sure though it is really a true Homologation version because the process was completed by the end of the RS production run, so this car would not be made with thin metal panels and would not have been taken to the scales and weighed like the first and second series cars were.

PS Be sure to take the Porsche Quiz, scroll down the image on the middle of the page and the quiz link will become visible. It is quite fun.

Brian, thanks for that tip, those cars on konradsheim site look spectacular..I'm afraid to ask how much though (altho I just did)..good point on the homolgation, I thought those were all early cars?
