    Angry Steve's 908/02 not in Monterey ???

    Hi All,
    I am going to Monterey and wanted to see Steve's 908/2.
    After I called Bonhams they addmitted that they do not have the car for sale in Monterey ???!!!!! ...d......
    Anybody now what happened or who will be offereing the car ?????
    I was so excited......

    Hi All,
    Just to share the info, apparently the car to be selling as Steve's Car had some questions about ....
    So yes it will not be in Monterey.

    two cars

    I think there are two cars being confused
    908-018 originally a coupe, rebuilt as a flounder
    908-02-018 originally a flounder
    i owned 908-02-018 back in the late 80's;when I owned it there was a cover and article about the car with its history in MOTORSPORT; ALSO IT RAN AT Monterey;was also on the cover of Vintage Motorsports after the historics;at no time was I aware of any mcqueen connection;I bought the car thru Adrian Hamilton in England in early 1988
    you can see why this two cars get mixed up;very smilar serial numbers and both flounders.porsche made a 908,a 908-02,a 908-3

    speaking of McQueen's cars, I saw that at Gooding there will be the slate grey 1976 930 turbo.

    Sligtly OT over here, but I like it!
