Hi All,
I'm looking for a source for part #76 in the Weber exploded view. Or is there another option when running with open velocity stacks? It appears this vent leads directly to the float bowl, so it would be nice to filter it.
Thanks,
Matt

I'm not entirely sure, but it looks like the screen that comes on the new 48IDA Webers that the hot rod VW guys use.
So, maybe scope out some of the VW shops for the screens.
Thanks Mike, I checked out a couple of the VW sites. It looks like the 48 IDA screen may be a little longer between the stacks, but it's hard to tell from the pics.

If I'm not mistaken but only the 46mm webers had that screen not the 40mm. But I do agree about the VW 48IDA might work

The guys at Pierce Manifolds had a booth set up at the vintage races at Laguna-Seca this weekend. I stopped and asked about using the 48 IDA vent filter. Unfortunately it is a bit longer than the one used on the 40 and 46 IDA, and they do not have the correct ones, so the search continues.
I did fabricate one from stainless and screen, but it was a lot of work, sure would like to find some.
me too! where did you find the screens for your Velocity Stacks? and... did you fab the cover or is it a factory piece?

Matt,
What did you do to your manifolds? Are they made of Mag?
Thanks,
John

The screens for the velocity stacks are 1/2 of a tea strainer ball from "Peet's Coffee" There was a lengthy thread here awhile back. There is quite a bit of info in that thread, in any case they fit perfect.
The manifolds are new, from PMO, I'm pretty sure they are aluminum. The carb covers (R style rain hats) were purchased from "Pelican Parts"
The one float bowl vent cover shown in the pic is the one I fabricated. It took about 3 hours for that one little part, so I'm still looking for factory or aftermarket alternatives...Anybody?
