I heard this collection has sold. Or at least all of the quattros sold as a set ... possibly to Audi Germany.
Interesting thread, but the link's dead. Any more photos and info on the collection?

For the few that might not know, the second photo is a Ford RS200 Group B "KILLER B" car. I had the pleasure of driving one of the last 20 "evo" cars.
It belongs to a fairly well known Porsche collector in NJ who always had the odd or eccentric car thrown into his 'Porsche" collection.
This car had around 450 hp and had all wheel drive in an Alu-carbon monocoque chassis that weighed just shy of 2,400 lbs..... crazy quick
In 1991 I had the pleasure of taking it for a quick spin on the Garden State Parkway. It was absolutely insane (0-60 in under 3 seconds) and caused quite a stink as I left the toll booths like a child ....... Hey, I was only 29
Oh well, memories , memories, memories ...... I'm older now and much more mature.

These cars were owned by David Sutton who owned the company that built rally cars for Audi in the UK in the 80's. If the factory bought the collection, the running joke is that they bought it to make sure nobody could use parts off the cars - Audi is possibly the worst automaker in the world for supporting their vintage cars. The ur quattro put that company on the map, but they could care less if any of them continue to run. You guys think Porsche is bad? They're a dream company compared to Audi. I even heard they destroyed tooling for the urq rather than sell it to a 3rd party supplier.
