I tried various relays, most didn't work with the handbrake (buzzing instead of flashing). Finally ordered one from parts-wise.com (used their Dutch site but they also have an international site) and that one worked well. It was only marked with the 914 part number, no supplier or anything.

    Hi Frederik,

I hope you are well. I am glad you got this resolved and it is good to know there is a modern solution available.

I had relay issues too but diagnosed this to the wrong relay for my 73 car. Here is a link to my post on DDK:

    Kind regards

    Hi Gitesh,

Doing well, hope you are too! You sent me the link to your DDK post earlier (thanks for that!), but unfortunately that original Hella relay is no longer available so I had to look for alternatives. The relay that Hella currently lists as the replacement doesn't work with the handbrake light.

    Cheers Frederik

Visiting Germany now and had a flasher relay mailed to the house in Germany from Parts Wise. com.
Will let all know how it works on the 70 and 71 911.
