Stupid quick question: where does the rubber pad strips go on the gas tank?

Bobboloo (Bobby) was kind enough to send me 2 rubber rectangular insulating pads which are suppose to glue to the tank tire area. What position do they get applied? Viewing from the front of the car - 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock? 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock? Other? TIA!
