"Temp out of stock" at Amazon, good for Kevin bad for me.

I'll have to look at the book store.

    continuing cover up???

I have it on good authority that the "non-working mock-up engine" claim is merely a clever ruse. In addition, it appears that "Bobs 67S" may be part of the historic cover up! Why else would he be so interested in tirelessly compiling detailed information on early 911 production?
    Just a coincidence...I doubt it!

    Thanks all.

As far as the food part, I wanted the book to be enjoyable to more than just "car nuts" like us. So, the travel, humor and general light tone along with the food I thought would add to its broader appeal. Besides, most car people I know are quite into a decent meal. I wanted to put in recipes, but cooler heads prevailed.

I am working on a sequel, going after something British this time, and have dialed back the amount of food a bit and upped the adventure. Now that the characters background is established, am able to jump right into the action.

The cars description and serial numbers are twisted around a bit. Who can be sure what is really true....

And editing, boring and hard and with so many versions flying around it doesn't surprise me that every book I read I find errors in.

Finally, kindle and audio books are both things that my publisher and I are looking at for the next edition. I couldn't think of a more appropriate thing than driving in your car, listening to an adventure novel about finding a classic.

    On Ordering...

My publisher just hit me with an email that we are selling quite a few through amazon every day. If you order it, it will arrive in about 5-7 days even if it shows out of stock as the order then goes direct to my publisher.

Or...if you have paypal you can order direct from my publisher at www.demontrevillepress.com for a bit quicker response.

    Thanks for the support all.

    food for thoughts....

Food is indeed an excellent diversion for the readers that are not comitted car buffs!

But couldn't you take the reader further into the collector's obsession? The relationship with the factory archives, the importance of period photographs and information, the hidden factory numbers, the attention to details, the internet forums, the paint schemes and interior details that make a car identifiable.

I really enjoyed your writing and the cool universe of Faston!
