The car in the back ground

I was just down at IPB Autosport here in Sacramento. That #94 silver 914 was in getting worked some work done. Very sharp and well sorted car. A lot of real nice details. And a 6 cyl in it that was as clean as as it gets. I spent about 20 mins looking it over. I as very impressed with it.

This car is back on SF Craiglist if anyone missed it. I suppose the deal fell through.

The car is back on the market as it didn't live up to the description.

I was interested but was not the person who provisionally agreed to buy the car - but I have seen the detailed pictures ...

Would you care to disclose its shortcomings?

I would think with decent S's falling into the high 30's of late, that $33,500 for T is a bit much, though that's only a very superficial analysis, if that.

The car was inspected (for a prospective buyer) by two very knowledgeable early 911 guys who stated:

“the buyer would have to budget at least $15-$20,000 for disassembly, rust repair, paint, suspension and brake upgrades, and interior improvements. - the description of "totally upgraded suspension, upgraded brakes, and some of the other propaganda is downright fraudulent …”

“the paperwork shows it was a very tired and neglected car that was taken and redone to the state you see – the 'restoration' was done by the Born2Bfast guy (Wayne Krieger) …”

“the paint job is the worst thing about the car, to say is was done fast and sloppy is being very kind, with rust and Metallic Blue showing in lots of nooks and crannies …”

    - with photos to substantiate.

    Wowzer. Thank you.

I had thought about taking a look at it, since it's not too far from me, but it sounds like the analysis of the car couldn't be any worse.

It's amazing how a crappy car can look so good in pics, caveat emptor!
