I got the John Gray article - very helpful.

All the connectors - plug side and cap side - were "wood screw" type and all were around 1000 ohms. I had one bad one and was able to get a replacement at a local Porsche dismantler, Carquip. The bad connector was probably the cause of the misfire I was having.

I got bulk solid core 7 mm Belden wire at my local NAPA store.

I didn't need to use any silicone to lubricate. The 7 mm wire fit the connectors well.

Everything went together easily. I left the spark plug connectors off until the wires were in place. Routing the wires with the connectors on would have been difficult.
