Yes, the Hamburg model was available for order in early 911s. The '70-71 option code was 451.

Does the radio pictured have a date code on it?

I ended up with a Hamburg in a 1968 912 w/ date code for 70. Must have replaced the 1968 factory radio. Were these mono or stereo?

Hi Derek:

Here is an example of a take off from another 72 E. It is from another board member's car and sold on the bird site some time ago. It may provide some ideas of what is correct in the way of knobs, trim plate, face plate.

Of course, this is a Becker, not the blue dot brand. The bottom appendage is a seldom-seen SW tuner.
