    S/T or IROC or what?!!!!

    PN 901.107.640.033

I need your collective help to positively identify this part.

You're looking at a NOS Porsche Oil-Filler Neck for a 911, but not just any 911, it appears that it was designed for a "racing" engine application.

Take a good look at the filler neck, note the provision for a "pressure relief valve" http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/102523198

As we know, the 911 street cars did not have a pressure relief valve, those are mostly found in competition cars. After trying to look up the Porsche p/n 901.107.640.033, I came up empty handed.

Maybe one of you or someone you know could help to identify this part. I was told it belongs to an IROC car, but I can't confirm that...

    Thank you all in advance!

PS: Please ignore the label attached stating "911S", again, it is NOT for a 911S, that was an error from either the previous owner of the part, or who ever attached the lable to it...

    Appears to be a 1973 911 variation...

    Note "filler neck" #901 107 640 02 here:

    part ID

Your part is used on a 911S "competition type". Part number 901.107.640.03 is called a "Filler Socket". It is listed in the April 1970 Spare Parts List for the Type 911S Competition Type. The factory catalog number is #6025.14
