    Interesting EBay S

This should be an interesting sale. It also reflects the current market. Should sell quickly @ BIN.

Was the black headliner optional in 71? Also with deep sixes (if original) would indicate early 71 production. I didn't see a VIN listed.

It always raises a flag with me when I hear "low original milage" and "interior replaced" in the same paragraph. Makes me wonder how well it was kept (present owner excluded).

I don't know about that. Price is pretty dear for a car with numerous issues, obvious in the photos. Most notable are incorrect dash (with no speaker opening), wrong headliner, incorrect tach, non-functioning radio, missing engine-compartment stickers, overspray on decklid hinges, uninstalled rear wiper and muffler skirt. I'm sure there are plenty of others. I just got tired of looking.

It may be a nice car, but all of this for me points to a car either hastily restored or done with little attention to accuracy. At this price point, I would expect a much tidier car.

I'd also would want to see confirmation of the car's original specification and documentation of stated mileage.

With some time and effort I'm sure everything on this car could be remedied, but the devil's in the details and we all know that costs $$$. To me, this looks like a $50K car at most.

Seats appear to be from an earlier car as the back releases are from pre 70. A later car should have the hook type I believe...

I always have trouble with the use of that word: "iconic".

Frank's car is iconic - this car ain't iconic.

A very nice car in my opinion... a few issues?, ok fine. When was the last time you saw a Gemini blue car w/ red interior that was "factory"?

As far as a replacement interior on a low mileage car... well, the car probably needed to be painted as the 71 metallics were crap (personal knowledge), so it needed to be painted.......well, then with new paint, the interior starts to look a little shabby by comparison, so you do that too....then the crack in the dash bugs you as you've done the paint and the carpets and the rest of the interior, so you do the dash as well. Black headliner? Not an option till the 73RS, so what, it looks nice in these cars.

Iconic car? He said the 911S was an Iconic car...not his personal car, so I agree with him.

A little spendy? perhaps, it may come down a little if it doesn't meet reserve. How many 2.2S's have we seen for sale in the last 6 months?? I'd love to have a 2.2S in the fold, but I'm a little high on inventory right now.

The details mentioned are easy to fix, I've bought a number of cars based on the how solid the car was, and noted the details to be changed. But I wasn't deterred by the details.

I'm sure there are many members who appreciate that more knowledgeable members can shed light on the details that need to be corrected.

just my .02 reading the responses.

Has hella 128 foglights, completely wrong for this year,.... based on that I question the ability of the owner to know how original his car really is! Quite obviously a complete scam.... AND it's from Washington...everybody knows that any car from Washington is completely rusty
