my apologies. i was under the impression that it was a 901 since i had several at one time... it's actually a 902/0 163053
i have no idea if it makes a difference...pls. help me ID it and what it's for...

thanks! i remember purchasing it from a guy at a porsche swap meet down south for $400 a few years back. he claimed that it was a 5 speed 901 tranny. i was new with porsches then and made a stupid mistake of purchasing it. i think i still have his name someplace.

easy mistake to make , most people do not even know that a 4 speed was available ,
from the outside they look the same until you check the code
