    B. Waldegård with his private 911 RSR with which he competed in rally cross for a few years. Photographed at his farm. It stood for several years in the barn on his farm. Where it was then found by a Swedish racing driver who renovated the car and then competed with it in the the 80s.

here it is at Do Vrchu (Bergrennen) SternBerk in Czech.
    Attachment 579574

He also had a 1974 3.0 RS 9114609046 - a white with gold car- from new

Here it is (I think at Pozan in 1975)

and again in May 1976 at Grand Prix Gor Swietokrzyskich

    Attachment 579576

Note the different license plates but it is the same car ( I think those red and white plates are trade plates suggesting the car was never road registered - and I think that the documentation from the factory at the time did not allow road registration for the 74 3.0RS which would be a reason he put the 73RS's plates on it at POR)

I think that was the car at the Press on Regardless in 1974 for Adam Smorawinski shown in Eric's photos, and Adam just put the plates from his 73 RS on it to be able to run it at the POR
Here are a couple of photos I have of it at the POR -it is clearly white and gold there and other photos show that it was piloted by Adam

    Hello Hugh H. ,

I must say , I really admire your research . But this confuses me ... as I had always assumed Smorawinski's White /Gold graphics RS 3.0 (look? by your guess) was the qenuine RS 3.0 : 460 9046 ? , as there are lists which state 460 9046 was delivered originally to Mr. Smorawinski.

And , are you 100 % certain 0580 was Smorawinski 73 F-series body (dark paint ) ? I have wondered which car this was . My list is not close , was not 0580 a Factory (100) car , originally GPWhite w/ Red graphics ?

I had thought 0580 might have originally gone to Zasada.........also is 0580 the RS 2.7 which was delivered with the spezial (793 1xxx) trans ? Again , I apologize , my list is not in front of me.

    (**addition , I found my list) :

    Yes , trans 793 1015

2323 Tangerine car (originally) the F-series Smorawinski looks too dark to me to be Tangerine. I had always wondered if 0580 was this car :

    Wolfgang Knorr

(I do not seem to be able to add photo. I will post subsequently)

    Hugh H. ,

In looking at the F-series Smorawinski car photos , it could be Tangerine , black & white always confuse me on colors. Does anyone have a color photo of it ?

When I mentioned Zasada , I had not remembered 0580 as the Tangerine car (I remembered it as white w/ red graphics) . If your 100% about the Adam S. early car as 0580 , any ideas about Knorr car.

    Hi TdC
sorry I have been very busy lately and not looking here as often

On the RS3.0 I thought that I had said in that post that the white and gold one was 4609046 - that photo (I think at Pozan in 1975) was the real RS as are many other photos I have of it

On 9113600580 i have a document dated August 1976 with his name and that vin and correct (as built) engine number on it showing it as a Gp4 car. The document is headed Zgloszenie-Anmeldung on letterhead of the Polish Automobile Club so i think it is the official papers for the car for an event in September 1976 as it is also listed as having start number 01. At that time the engine capacity was shown as 2980ccm. I dont have any period color photos of it but there is a model of the car in tangerine(?) / red with a black hood.

It is shown in factory documents as a tangerine M471 car originally, factory owned, with the only option being 220 a limited slip diff - ie classic competition specification. Yes it is shown as having gearbox number 7931015 which is a special one usually only found in the M491 cars. I dont know its early history and if it was "factory owned" but rented out to him from the beginning because of technical / legal issues with Poland or he bought it later from the factory but he was using it from when it was new in 1973.

I have no information on the Knorr car OR if 0580 exists today - i would not be surprised if it is hidden away in a collection somewhere in Poland or Germany unseen for many years

on the Knorr car as that photo was at 1973 Rally Vltava (July 6-7) and this photo was of 09-29-PV at 33º Rally Polonia 1973 on 12. 7. – 15. 7. 1973, I dont think that they can be the same car
