Napa parts has them, as there are 2 different stems with the same part number (skinny&fat) make sure you get the fat bottom one as pictured in previous msg. They do work, some tire shops will tell you that they will not stay in but they will.

I've been able to find some of these valve stems locally. My application is for some 4.5x15 Fuchs alloy rims.

Is it advisable to use some sort of adhesive between the stem and the rim? Or should they simply be installed "dry?"

    Thanks!

should be good without adhesive as long as you got the "fat" TR415 and not the skinny one.

Your local tire shop can order them, no prob. If not let me know and I can send you a set from my local shop. I think harvey machines early rims for a perfect fit, but should work without the machining.

Harvey does machine them as does Zim's in Texas. Add to their charges, one has to tack on the shipping charge plus insurance. Harvey has said that he uses and recommends these valve stems for those who don't want their rims machined.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
