"Engine rebuilt in 1995. 2.2E pistons, Timeserted case, oil bypass mod, pressure fed tensioners, solid engine mounts, transmission mounts"

    Why 2.2 E pistons in a 2.4 S engine?

Now 2.2 S pistons will give you higher compression in a 2.4, do E pistons do the same thing?

    2.2E pistons are 9.3:1 in a 2.2. 2.4S pistons are 8.5:1 in a 2.4. 2.2S pistons are 9.8:1 in a 2.2, so really should have twin plugs if used in a long-stroke application. 2.2E in a 2.4 motor should produce around 9.8:1 in a 2.4. Perfect.

This car is worth all the money. I was thinking the same thing last night when searching Pelican. Buy it and drive it and fix it up when you want. This is a good deal.

E pistons are cast, not forged. Big bummer, IMO. Not big enough to detract from this car. If my car were saleable right now, I'd sell it to buy this. Looks like the real deal, emphasis on DEAL.
