    Great story Rick, congratulations.

There was a really good thread (I tried to find, unsuccessfully at this point) about a restoration of a Green Metallic 2.4S done in England, a great story and set of photos. I've attached 2 of those photos from that story here to wet your appetite ! - (I'm sure the owner won't mind ... and he does still post on the ddk forum in the UK

Nick Moss did the restoration on that beautiful car a few years back. Here is the page from his site. There is also a nice article linked there from GT Purely Porsche.

    The Dark Side

    Hey, Brian and Paul . . . .

Okay, well now I'm REALLY feeling myself being pulled towards what Propeller-heads refer to as 'The Dark Side.'

    There's something about a Porsche. Where a 356 is kinda cute and un-assuming, a 911 seems slick and smart. I swear, I've always wanted to hate 911s --- all that rear-engined, air-cooled, un-galvanized, tail-swinging idiosynchrinicity, all that ---- money.

But I can't. These cars are just so . . . involving. The myriad odd little details, the way they're built and finished, the sounds they make. And then there's they way they look. And drive. Hhhhhh.

I tell myself that the good thing about owning a Rat is that I can use it without guilt. The bad thing is that, since its a Porsche . . . I'll always be thinking about what the thing should be.

Thanks for the article. (I think.)
