    Vintage Interior Cleaning

    Hello

I'm looking for product recommendations to clean the interior of my 73T. It seems to have a basically unrestored interior and I would like to keep it tidy without damaging the 35 year old vinyl etc.

    Thanks

    Cleaning an Original Interior

You might want to clean everything using a good quality vinyl cleaning product like Meguiars and a SOFT BRISTLED nail brush. Work the cleaner in lightly with the soft bristled nail brush and wipe off the surface with a clean terry towel.

You will be amazed at how much dirt will come out of the grain of the original vinyl - use an old towel.

For tight corners use the same technique but with a SOFT tooth brush.

Just use light pressure with the brushes - you do not want to mar or scuff the vinyl.

Remember to rinse off your wife's toothbrush when you are done.

I would contact carcareonline.com. The owner, his name escapes me, knows everything about car care and has developed products. Wurth makes the best carpet cleaner and many other products that will help you.

    Good luck.

Contact Griots as well. I use the interior cleaner on lots of items. Very mild and works well.

I use diluted simple green on all vinyl... Woolite's carpet cleaner on the carpets sprayed on and brushed in then vacuumed.

The interiors are very durable you'll see what I mean.
