Thread: Wester Motors

Pictured is the Silver 67S first owned by Mr. Don Wester.

Based on the factory kartex and warranty book signed by the owner, this silver S was delivered on November 5, 1966 to its first owner, Don Wester at his well known Porsche dealership Wester Motors at 1187 Del Monte Ave, Monterey, Calif.

The old Wester 67S now looks like this 55 years later -almost to the day- in November 2021.

But any alert reader of this thread may ask, all Wester cars all had a Talbot mirror and a set of American Racing Equipment magnesium wheels in accordance with Don Wester's personal tastes, right...?

Chuck: You might consider posting your photo of Wester dealership to Samba's archive of Porsche/VW dealers, since they only show the dealership from an earlier time.

It looks like Wester was a prosperous operation, as they added this covered display section to the original building.

Flunder: You might notice that Don sold the 67S to Bob Little from Carmel. Bob and his brother Matt were both Porsche enthusiasts. They both raced 356 Roadsters in SCCA5 in the 60-70s? Bob was the Monterey Bay Region President [but I don't trust my memory for all this, so take that as "might have been". I sold an A coupe to Bob around 1970- he modified it into what today would be considered an "outlaw". The point is that the 2nd owner of your '67S was worth knowing about.. and I remember him being really quick at Laguna too.
