    German - English 911 dictionary

Can anyone gave me a link for translating from German to English the most common automotive terms ?
I have a little learning in German but I want to be able to read the technical terms as well.
I anticipate getting some German text 911 publications in the near future.
    Anyone ?

    Cheers,
    Dennis.
1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.

an excellent English-German dictionary - though not specialized in automotive/911 terms - is:

Not exactly what you want but try using Mittelmotor's on-line catalogue & compare the german text version with the english version:

    http://www.mittelmotor.de/deutsch/startdeutsch.htm

If you click on the number shown in the parts diagram, a description of the part appears on the RHS.

eg if you click on #1 in the diagram below:

    you get the following descriptions:

    1,1101A gebr.
    Motorgehäuse 2,0 Aluminium bis '67

    1,1101A neu
    Motorgehäuse 2,0 Aluminium bis '67

    1,1101B AT
    Motorgehäuse Magnesium 2,0, 2,2 i.Austausch

    1,1101B gebr.
    Motorgehäuse Magnesium 2,0, 2,2

Get a copy of Clymer Publications Porsche Owners Handbook and Service Manual. dated 11/67. They have 4 pages of "A Motoring Dictionary" two hundred useful words and terms in English, French, German and Italian. I'd scan it and post it but I'm afraid of all the criticisim I'd probably get from some of the predatory bottom fishers on the board.
    Currently:
    67 3.6 Rocket "Silver"
62 T6 Outlaw Coupe "ole Yellow"
65 F100 Custom Cab Flairside Shortbed

Gone but not forgotten in last 2 years:
    67S Concours King
    67 912 Vintage Racer
    68 912 Flipper
    83 911SC
    93 Mo30 968

    too many cars before that
