    '73S 2.7 MFI, '68S, '69S motors - One has got to go!

Here's the deal - we are just finishing the complete build of a '73S MFI motor to 2.7 specs. I want to install this engine into my '72 914-6 (currently with a '69S motor built with 906 pistons and lightened flywheel) and put the 914-6's hotted up motor into my '68 project (has a freshened '68S motor). Ideally I would like to sell either the '68S or '69S motor (I will only sell one of them) now while they are in their respective cars and running. The '73S motor is listed for sale as my buddy, Baron, has repeatedly beat me over the head saying, "that engine should go back into a '73S." So...

    FOR SALE:

    1. '68S aluminum case engine. Currently installed and running with IDT carbs. Freshened w/ new seals, gaskets, and completely detailed. Price without carbs - $9,500.00

    2. '69S motor with IDT carbs (not MFI). Built w/ 906 pistons and solex cams. Currently installed and running in a 914-6. Price complete w/ flywheel $11,500.00

    3. '73S 2.7L motor. #013 MFI pump converted to work at 2.7L. Mahle 2.7 RS pistons. New bearings, chains, seals, etc. Heads completely redone, balanced and blueprinted crank and rods, case has been completely gone thru w/ line boring and new case savers intalled throughout. Zero miles on rebuild. Price complete w/ flywheel $18,800.00

Here are a couple of photos of the '68S motor with and without the carbs.

Here are some photos of the 2.7 MFI '73S motor as it sits complete. By this time next week it will be in my 914-6 and no longer available, not that anyone would really want it.
