Wink CMC GmbH Classic Model Cars Porsche 901

When I started collecting classic 911 memorabilia (brochures, factory accessories, dealer's material), I promised myself I would stay away from toys and models as it seemed an endless quest and not in line with what I intended to do.

I did purchase a 911 FM radio model produced in 1970 by Trix under factory guidance and distributed by Sonauto in France, but it was after all a period accessory.

Nevertheless, after the Techno Classica, I broke that rule by ordering the 1/18 model of the 901 edited by the german company CMC.

After 6 months of wait from the prototype stage I saw in Essen to final production, I've only received it today.

I was amazed by the amount of details and the accuracy and the 901 soul it has. I highly recommend them:

    Great photos!

Thanks Greg, I thought I was out on my own here...

Apparently the hub caps are held in place through a magnet (haven't tried yet).

Quite amazing, even the gas trap opens....outstanding quality....it will soon be available in blue, green and champagne yellow.

    die cast

Ive read alot about this item....great pc. at a good price point. It would really be great if you could add some dirty water to the oil tank...and get some leaks!!!!!

Ive collected for yrs....and always thought the market was lacking big time in hi quality 1/18 , 1/20 or even 1/24 scale..never made sense to me.....

there have been some Eagle/Jouef 1/18 RS's at the low end...and a nice Ebbro RS at 1/20.....and some Exoto, but thats it.

alot of nice 1/43 out there....

Here's a great review of the model:

The ivory ones are in stock and shipping, green are in production, blue is next and yellow is last. Beautiful model - I just ordered a yellow one.
