FS: Beautiful SWB wood wheel and hockey puck

    SOLD

    Wheel looks brand new.

Puck is nice, not perfect, with minor blemishes in areas not easily seen when mounted. Chrome ring is painted silver and looks nice, but would need to be plated to be 100% correct. Horn button has reproduction leather cover, but would need to be restuffed to be perfect; all minor issues.

    Package price: $1100

    Wheel: $900
    Puck: $275

Amazing huh? Unrestored beater wheels are around $500 and restored wheels are between $800 and $900. Remember when you could find a hockey puck as a free throw in?

I did the resto. I have seen other restored wheels and haven't seen a nicer job if I do say so myself.

It was sold after the last bump. I removed the bumps to get rid of confusion.

Since this one is sold I have a 1967 wood wheel. It needs to be refinished but it is not beat to death. A great and easy candidate. No button. Price is $700 If interested please e mail me direct Don@Porsport.com thanks

I have another wheel for sale: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...473#post176473

    11/65 date code.

Wheel is a very, very nice unrestored example; unrefinished with minor clearcoat chips. Puck is nearly perfect, but is missing the metal ring; repros can apparently be had for fair money from Germany.

I no longer need this wheel for my '65, since finding a COA matching extended hub steering wheel on the Registry:

That's why I have a siver Prototipo on my car. It also matches the dash if anyone cares about "style" and doesn't do plaids and stripes or wear brown shoes with a black suite.
