    Light weight motor

I'm thinking of putting a 6 cyl in a 356 Outlaw with a 901 or 915 trans. I know 356's but not so much about the 911 motors. What would be the lightest weight motor combination to shoot for? I have a core 65 2.0 with a 901 right now with webbers but if I could loose some weight it would be a good thing.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

The lightest would definitely be a magnesium case with carburetors. The magnesium 901 transmissions also have a significant weight advantage over the aluminum ones, and any 915.

No, using a custom tube frame.

My dad has a 69 mag core motor I'm sure he would be willing to part with.
