Welcome Simon. Is that a US spec car? I noticed the "sugar scoop" lights.

Welcome Simon. Tell us about your car. Is it a 1970? I dig the color.

Its a 1970 S Targa, and its an import from the states. It has a 2.7 RS spec engine - the original S heads, and 7R cases. I am having some work done to get it through its MOT test, and will be changing the headlamps and rear indicator lenses etc. It was an Ebay purchase in June this year - but thats a whole story in itself!

It needs quite a lot of work - new floor pan, sills inner and outer, suspension pan, kindey bowls, door closing panels, and a bit of welding to the rear chassis leg and some at the front...........!!!

Thanks, but dont get too exited, sure it looks nice in the pics - but an inspection revealed all sorts of unpleasant surprises.

This was sold to me as a rust free chassis and body!

    Oh my.

I got lucky buying a car from California on eBay, but I think that my experience was the exception, not the rule.
