Finally On Board As A Member

I look forward to talking shop with all members. Recieved my ESSES journal today. Nice articles and great pictures. My car is a 1967 911S. I would like to say it's a real 1967 911S, however, all but the chasis is an S. It's probably as close as I will ever get to the real thing. Two years ago I found my car at a junk yard. The car had been setting for 10 years under a plastic tarp. After several attempts to purchase the car, the owner finally gave in and sold! My first question was, can I resurrect this dead beast? Two years later, I can say that I'm 70% percent completed with the restoration. The process has been slow but consistent....you know the budget thing. Regards, Freddie

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

Thanks Mark, those 911S cars on my signature are not my cars. They are cars that I have painted for other Porsche afficionados. I picked up the trade of body and paint work in my teens. And have done this work on and off for many years. Actually, I painted my first Porsche 356 when I was 17 years of age for my History teacher....it looked okay during night hours. But not bad for a rookie. Painting Porsches has become more of a hobby. Later on in life I worked for a independent Porsche shop as a mechanic. I stop working there when I learned the basic mechanical functions of a Porsche and was able to work on my own car. I'm no expert on these cars though like many on this forum.

Chuck, thank you for helping me with the process. Sending me the journal, card, and oh! the sticker. I will work on placing the sticker tonight over a cold beer.
