    wtb rear crash bar

    Hi, does anyone have the factory single rear crash bar from 1971 or 1972 ,chrome condition not important. Its not the amco double bar. thanks for the look, my email is jrwsr911sc@aol.com

    Just an fyi... these bars started in 1968 (there's a picture of one in Christophorus in 1968).

    A great very rare option.... I have one on a 72, and it looks great.

    That's a hair earlier than '68 Was that installed later? Seems odd that it would have been. Drilling early bumperettes and rechroming them strikes me intuitively as something that would not have happened.

    These parts are shown in the PET. The bar and screws, etc are PN 901 505 921 00, the bar itself is PN 902 505 340 95, the chrome bumperettes for the bar are PN 902 505 033 95, and the bumperettes with rubber buffer for the bar are PN 911 505 029 00. Gary

    The bumper "guard" shows up in the 1968 accessories from my dads price list, but not in the accessories brochures from 1967 or earlier....so I'm pretty sure that 1968 is the start point.
