    Early S?

    Interesting EBAY auction. Glove box has an 911S. I'm not an expert, thought you guys might be interested

    Early S?

    Charles, just so you know, there were no S's in 65, and a S would have had an S suffix after the stamped serial number in 67, the first year of S's. With these cars you will learn something everyday for as long as you live!

    I doubt it's a 65 either, even 65 production year. I would place
    304900 around May 1966 just as a guess making it a 66 production
    year & 66 MY car.

    I could be wrong but seeing as 305100 was the start of the 1967
    model year built after the factory holidays which was early august
    I believe, I think this car would not have been produced in 1965.

    Aside from that there's not much that's good about this car, engine
    number seems to be wildly out of sequence. Rusty.

    Good parts car at $1400, forget about it at $14000.
