Door windows question and advice sought

I'm sure if I did a little research, I could find the answer to my question but it's much more interesting to bug you guys about it:

Unfortunately, the best I can do is an impersonation of an early 911. Yes, I'm doing a backdate on my 1978SC. The doors are from a 1967 car and my door windows are tinted. My question is this: Were most windows tinted on the earlier 911 cars? Were there many that were not tinted? My car has the 911R plastic quarter windows and the plastic vent windows with the bubble vent. Obviously, these items are not tinted so do you guys think it's going to look weird having the tinted windows? Should I try to locate the non-tinted? This is an opinion poll as much as anything. It might not make that much of a difference in the long run given that the windows are likely to be down most of the time anyway.

As always, thanks for your help.
    Obsessively yours,

Many early cars did not have tinted windows. You should be able to find old glass without too much expense. EASY, for instance, can set you up with good used pieces.

Depends on how early, I guess. My '68 Normal isn't tinted, so it's out there.

    An expensive option...

Tinted windows were one of the most expensive options, about 50% more expensive than replacement Recaro sport seats. I don't think it was often ordered....

I wouldn't worry too much about having a difference between the tinted and untinted windows, I think it will only be barely visible.

I ordered my '68 with "catacolor glass", a $45.00 option at the time. A light tint compared to current style.
