'70s SCAM on ebay for $15,000 BUY IT NOW

It would appears that someone has hi-jacked an old ad.

    Item number: 140270456727

I recognize some of the photos and details but this clown does NOT want you to bid or he will cancel your bid.

Instead, he wants you to email him directly.

    Hmmmmmmmmm

This scammer has done it with several recently completed Early Porsche cars -I have notified Ebay each time and they shut him down straight away.

Ive seen him do it twice in the last week alone on Early S cars.

I think he may have even done it like a year back on the infamous Coppola 67 if I remember correctly.
I sent a buy request to the email as posted and got a reply back with a familiar story-

"It was my fathers car... I am in Serbia and wish to buy a house...the car is sitting here still packed in a shipping crate ....ect"

Since the person keeps doing it over and over on Ebay items- seems he has a 'hack' figured out on stealing Ebay identities- kinda scary.
    peace, love, and happy-S

Dick Head should at least be smart enough to ask a price high enough to think it is a real sale. I guess crooks are stupid!

Typically they ask for low values because it is easier to move smaller amounts of cash, no holds... usually it is $9500 or under $10k. I remember a couple speedsters for $9500 BUY IT NOW but of course there was no buy it now button just an email.

They are preying on geedyness or on people who are operating at an emotional level with a certain car/price that they don't ask as many questions because the price is sooooo low. I know a few guys that are far more concerned about getting a "good deal" than ever getting the right car, stupidity can make you blind.

Porsche buyers are typically more educated then many other types of marques so I doubt this scam has worked often. I wonder how many VW buyers have fallen prey to a $9500 23 window deluxe bus???

If you ever sell a car overseas accept a wire transfer only. No Western Union, no foreign currency, no trades, no gold, no CHECKS (including cashiers checks). Wire transfers are not reversible while cashiers checks can be reversed.
