    T to S gauges

    Hi guys,

    I have a 1971T with standard gauges, which I wish to put the S gauges into. It is a LHD to RHD conversion.

    Is this a straight forward swap or will there be issues with the wiring loom and other components?

    RHD wiring loom?

    Should be straight forward if you have a RHD wiring loom. If it's the original LHD loom then you will most likely need to lengthen some of the wires. As I recall, gauges are arranged in same sequence L-F whether RHD or LHD. With the main loom running down the central tunnel, the wiring originally going to the "nearest" gauge is now going to the "furthest away" gauge - if you get my drift. Could involve lots of splicing.     The conversion was done some years ago so the standard T gauges are already attached and in situ.

    Would there be additional wiring to lengthen?

    Can someone plese point to me what is the differences between the T and the S gauges?. Thanks. Andy

    aT gauges are more basic and do not include oil level/pressure gauges but just a light.
