    Source for matching wire.

I am in the process of twisting a few new wiring harnesses for a fog light, and blower (’67). I would prefer to make them a close to the original as I can, but have had very little luck locating some of the “correct” colors (i.e., white/yellow, red/white).

    Any sources?

    Thanks in advance.

    Metric Wire

    Try Eagleday.com

they use to sell metric wire in the correct size, colors and the correct tracer color by the meter.

(If I had found them earlier it would have saved cutting up good harness' to restore what's in the car).

Donor harnesses have been the best way to go for me.

Before these cars were off the charts in value, for years I'd buy complete harnesses from parted out cars.

I have found them an invaluable source of original wire to make proper repairs and even custom harnesses.

914 4 cyl cars were the best since the used all the same colors as 911s and there were a lot made.

I tried to source wire from Germany years ago and found it to be very frustrating

You can still get proper connectors from there however.

    Thanks

    Thank Much

It looks like Eagleday.com look like the place to be. I have been sparingly using a harness to replace things here and there. It came out of 302511 so it is a bit too early for my '67 but serviceable.

I’m sure the ’65-66 police will be on my ass, and yes I do know where the carcass is resting.

Does anyone by chance know the proper metric sizes for the wires; my SWAG would be 2.0mm2 for everything (we’re talking fog and blower) but the fuse panel lead for the blower or gas heater.
