Talbot mirror on an early 911

I have an early 65 911 delivered to Frankfurt. I'm thinking of going European lights and a Talbot mirror. Any opinions or pictures of early 911s with a Talbot on the door or fender?

What is it about Burgundy and Talbots? Mine has the rare extended base plate between the pedestal and door, necessitated by an abundance of holes in the door from previous, less inspired mirror choices.

That' "ain't" burgundy; It's Cadillac Autumn Rust Poly (irony). I did all the research on the color when I owned the car. Special ordered from the factory. Hugh Heishman did an 911-R in a Cadillac gold color. One of one.

Harry, your car is so cool looking. Where'd you get the roof rack? I remember you were searching for one.

It is my understanding that the desirable early Talbots are stamped "W Berlin" vs "Berlin". It would be nice to find a set of those for an early SWB.
Great looking cars gentlemen! Love the roof rack Harry!

Wow... never seen so many Burgundy cars in one place. I would post mine too, but it would seem redundant.

thanks guys! Rich i just got it on tuesday. i kind of stopped looking for a while becasue i was too busy with other things and got an email out of the blue a few weeks ago with a guy who wanted to sell his. he was on his way to drive to PA with a type 616 industrial airplane motor (a 616 is what teh 356 and 912 has) to take it to get rebuilt so he dropped off the roof rack since i was on the way. its in good shape, some scratches, but over all very nice. the one downfall is it is missing one of the gutter clamps. i am probably going to have one made, even though the 3 that are there hold it very well.

now the big question is do i go far the sports purposes look with cibies and sports seats and use the roof rack for show to hold a studded tire and gerry can, or do i make it the ultimate touring car.. tough decision.. could go either way. thankfully i have two hoods so the cibies will not be an issue.. if i dont like it i can swap the hoods out
