Exaust differences? 69 E Targa MFI

I'm reading about exausts and see there are two listings for my 69 E. One for carbs and another for MFI equiped.

What is the difference between the two?

The car currently has thermal reactors on it (PO install) on a 2.0L engine

What should I be looking for to replace them with?

You should get those TEs off your car. Especially with the MFI...

    Look at SSI heat exchangers.

that's the plan, to loose the TE's, but after buying the car and all the parts it needed the budjet is broken for a bit to afford the SSI's.

I see ad's for HE's...some say for carb's other say they will fit. How do I tell what will fit?

What's different between HE's for MFI cars and carbs?

They should be basically the same (pre 75). Make sure that the LHS exchanger has the port for the pre-heat hose that goes to the MFI pump opened. You may have to take out the plug. Be careful of old HE's as they may have holes to add CO in the passenger compartment.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I looked at the ones off my buddys 68S and they had the plug in the pipe. Not having proper ones to compare them to makes a difference when you don't know a lot about 911's

    GWN,
This is the port Michael is talking about.
The pipe goes through the tinware on the lhs of the engine compartment to the mfi pump.
If its not connected, then the pump will operate at full rich.

    Dennis.

    Thanks Dennis,

I looked at the ones off my buddys 68 S and his have the pipe which is blocked off.

I guess my next question is how is it hooked up to the MFI? Pressure fit to the pipe on the HE's?

    It currently isn't hooked up.

Car was a "barn find" parked for 15 years.
