By the end of the sixties, the taste for colors was pretty different than in the early/mid 60ies where some color hues still resembled 50ies Porsche 356 shades.
Take out the orange hues and you have an up to 1968/69 situation. After 1968/69 I would guess the orange/yellow colors took over.

Porsche promoted all signal colors (yellow, orange, green) as a passive safety element.
The car was more visible in traffic and better to see for pedestrians in fog or rain.
But checking the fashion taste of that time period and everything is clear to me

Well this is fun. Can somebody comment on the color scheme that Hans picked out for Hester?

My 70 S was originally Silver Metallic with Red Leather and that would probably be my top choice.

Second would likely be Albert Blue with Red leather

The sales brochure for 1970 has a 2 page spread of an Irish Green coupe with a tan interior, the same combo my car had originally. I like to imagine that it actually is my car... Just wish I had one of those cool leather road-test bras.

At some point, someone swapped the seats and door panels out for black ones, and stained the carpets black too. I guess tastes change... Interesting to see there were so many in Irish Green, I had imagined it a little further down the list.

Eric, at first I thought what an innocuous question, that's easy I would pick... Then I started looking at the colors and thought, holy crap that is a great question to ask 38 years hence! What a tough decision for me since there are so many classic and fun colors. I cannot pick just one, sorry.

Since my hotrod is silver I would have to say silver with red interior.
Agree with Dave as I am a blue guy - Albert Blue with red (Adriatic Blue would look great in this combo too).
Irish Green with tan interior and pepita/tan inserts.
Leaf Grean with black and pepita.
    Grey and red
    and...
    and...
