    AutoWeek McRae Day Rally

    Did anyone see the AutoWeek article on the McRae Day Rally stages in Scotland in the Oct. 13 issue? The event attracted 50,000 spectators and many past World Champion drivers including Bjorn Waldegard '79 Champion...as a tribute to Colin McRae who was killed last year. The lead picture of the feature is a shot of a rally 911....very appropriate.

    Also in the same issue is a great full page ad showing a '63 911 with dual exhaust pipes. The second page showed the modern version, but what a neat tribute to 'our 911s' from Porsche.

    John Buffum came out of retirement and ran the event in an early 911. He finished ahead of both Block and Pastrana (I think both were struggling without AWD ).
