    Vintage MOMO prototipo steering wheel

Flat, 350mm diameter, silver anodized, original.

Condition fair to good. Not for the faint of heart but that depends on your own personal perspective. All 3 spokes are slightly bent but could probably be straightened by someone who's handy in the garage. Left spoke has the most bend, right spoke slightly less and the center spoke not much. Quite a few small marks on the front of the alloy face (see photos). Has original cover and stitching. Stitching is excellent. Cover has some seriously nice patina. Actually could look really nice just as it is in the right Porsche. This is a battle worn period beauty — Perfectionists need not apply.

High rez photos can be sent to your email if desired.

Price is $250 plus shipping. Shipping will be USPS Priority mail.
Payment can be Paypal, check or Postal Money order.

SPECIAL: Buy this along with the Momo LeMans wheel I also have offered in this board and I'll pay for the shipping on both plus the insurance.

    Thanks for looking.

    Thanks Bob

Trying to sell something by starting with "Not for the faint of heart" is a good indication of my highly tuned salesmanship.

    No longer for sale

I want to remove this wheel's for sale status. I'm going to keep it and see about giving it new life. Here is the tentative plan:
Remove thumb pads, cover and internals.
Straighten the bends and possibly try to remove the nicks and scratches.
I might then have it re-anodized black.
    replace padding.
    Re-stitch original cover back on.

I'll let you know how I make out. Maybe I'll start a thread on my progress.

    Leave it silver.

    Perhaps

I might leave it silver, but ...
I have mostly silver MOMOs and would love to have another old black one.
I'm more concerned about the job I do on re-stitching this thing. It will be a learning experience.
