    Rear License Panel

Has anyone used a Repro rear steel license panel from Stoddard or Einmalig? How true to the original are they?

    Thanks,
    John

    John,

I got one years ago from Dale Hirsh (LA Auto Dismantling) not sure where he got it, but it was new in chromate green primer. I eventually used it (it's on my car now) The fit was fine, however it was about 30% heavier then the one that came on the car .......

It was weird, because most of the 'new' replacement sheet metal I've handled has been thinner then stock and this rear panel was MUCH thicker .... ... right where you don't want it ...

    Cheers

    panel

i've got one and its at least 15 years old.
it came with my car, po never got around to installing it.
even back then the stamping was not as "crisp" at the stiffener emboss.
    it fits fine.
that being said, i'll probably use my original after i pound out the dents.
