    Sway bars on '70 911T

New guy here but have been reading the board for about a year and a half. I have a 911T with no sway bars. Last winter, I replaced all the shocks (Bilstiens) and brake lines and had the wheel bearings replaced and had the car lowered to European height ride.
This winter, I'm planning to add a 19mm weltmeister sway bar to just the front since it's pretty straightforward (mounting hardware's there from the factory). Would this be too much bar for the front? It's mostly a road car that I enjoy through the twisties with maybe 1-2 DE days per year. What do you guys think?

I have a '73T with 19 mm front and rear bars. After some initial adjusting to get the ride where I like it, they work fine. I do monthly Autocross and tours in the countryside.

    19mm should be fine.

I'm using the Turbo 18mm and it's perfect IMO.

I can't say I've driven a 911 with only a front bar. With stock 15s front and rear a 911 has a fair bit of intial understeer. I would think a 19 up front and nothing on the back would make the car really plow.

I have an H&H 19mm in the front only; It provides a much improved turn in over no sway bar. Too much speed/confidince can cause the heavy end to push out further than you may intend....

Thanks for the replies. I was worried about the car plowing but with the mixed replies, maybe it's not so bad. Considering I've already seen my rear end come all the way around, maybe I should just put a sway bar on the front to save myself from myself:D

With Weiltmeister bars : is it possible to keep the original arms and drop links, and just upgrade the cross bar to keep the original look ?

If you have the part numbers on the factory bars they (used to be) fairly inexpensive. You could get the 18mm bar and use your drop links and arms. The arms wouldn't have the reinforcement the 18mm bar arms have but, those are easily made I would think.
