******SOLD******** Revised - I am lowering the price to $62,000. Please call me if you are serious - PLEASE no trades!

WAS ON eBay, I see no buyers at the moment so the car will be put away for a little while

    NOW SOLD

I posted this car for sale in my signature and had a very positive response. We all know how rare and unique this car is. This is a unmolested matching number California car that had 2 owners (Father and Son) from new until Summer 2008. The first year 911S first year Soft Window desirable optional color - Buy it while you can.

    Price is $62,000 - SOLD

    Contact Mark Allen 760-522-0090 allaircooled@yahoo.com

•Original engine – engine is complete with all original items including Weber IDS carburetors

    •Original 5 speed transmission

•Original Soft Window Targa in excellent working condition w/original tonneau vinyl cover w/tenax fasteners

•Certificate of Authenticity verifying all numbers and options

•European delivery – brought to San Diego California for its entire life

•2 owners from 67until Summer 08. Father was original owner, son acquired the car in 1974

    •All 5 original Fuchs 15x4.5” wheels

    •Wood Steering Wheel

    •Front and Rear swaybars

    •Koni front struts

•Radio delete car – according to second owner who installed the aftermarket radio

    •Steering wheel ignition/column lock

•Stainless Steel heat exchangers. Steel muffler

    •Original PORSCHE door + ignition key/Original HUF trunk lock key/Tool kit/Jack/Spare

This car was a "European Delivery" picked up in Germany by the original owner. Unknown actual mileage as the speedometer was changed out at some point. Recorded mileage from 1981-2008 is just 33,500 in 27 years. All the gauges are European except for the speedometer.

The 2nd owner said he acquired the car from his father in 1974. I have government registration cards from 1974 - 2008 in the same owners name. The original California Black license plate number was "VVY 315". The black plates have been lost since a "personalized" plate was put on the car.

Always garaged. Over the years the car has been seldomly driven with a few periods where it was stored under non-operational status. Engine was gone through in 1981 by Dennis Sherman Foreign Car Service, a well know Porsche shop in San Diego California. The receipt includes a new camshaft, main & rod bearings, new valves, new guides, new piston and cylinder set, gasket set, tensioners, etc. The engine condition tests (Compression and Cylinder leakage) were just completed and the numbers speak for themselves.

    Compression Test
    1. 175psi
    2. 180psi
    3. 180psi
    4. 180psi

    6. 182psi

    Cylinder Leakage Test

Post stock market crash & election BUMP!

I first listed this car in October, right in the middle of the stock market crash, before the election, when everyone was pre-occupied with bad news. I don't know if these factors hurt my sale or if it was just another historically slow October. I had many interesting offers but now I must put my foot down and say no trades! Too many complicated offers from all sorts of geographic locations were thrown out to me.

So the price is lowered $8000 from $70k down to $62k. Please call me if you are serious. So many people want this car but you must be brave enough to pull the trigger and put money down if you wish to call and speak about the car.

My dream car at just the WRONG time. If it is still there in a few months, maybe we'll talk. Good luck, nonetheless!

Mark, What am I missing here? This seems way to cheap for this car. Looks great. We might have to cruise it up the coast. -Scott

Wow such positive response. You guys are right! This IS a very good car. Say what you want about me but the car is dead solid and will make a $120k car when finished. This is a consignment by a very good friend of mine, he told me to lower the price so just did. It will go up on eBay tomorrow. Nothing up my sleeves, an excellent car for a fair price. I have too many cars to keep it myself.

Jeff Trask, thanks - you are a gentleman, well sometimes

Kenik, this car is in your size, if I could get you into it then great as you are a perfect fit, but if it is not the time then it is not the time

    Richard, you are right!

Scott, you are looking at a real deal and you may buy it if you see how good it is, give me a call if you want to drive the whole 5 minutes to see it, I could do the resto for you if you want

Raj, would you believe you are the second person to make a comment on the additional mirror, I don't think the other guy was joking though.

What do you mean by 'resto work' needed? It looks pretty nice, overall.
