I think Gary Kempton has one of the other Waldegard cars, but you could not buy it for anywhere near this price.
Waldegard is a very nice guy, we all had dinner together at the Rennsport Reunion.

    Surfing is fun!

I spent a fair amount of time on the net trying to learn about this car. It appears to be Waldegård's "B34880" which I gather is a '67 911 Normal ((does anyone have chassis number and other(Kardex) details?)). I learned it had, at one time, an "RS-look." From the photos it looks like to one degree or another it has been back dated to its old look. Rally cars like this have special appeal to Euros(peans), especially those from Nordic or Scandinavian countries I'll try and get more info.

It has been backdated from an RS look to it's current close to original look.

The engine is a 911T engine, and the original is not available. The gearbox is not original, but it IS the gearbox to it's sister car that one serial number off from his car, so close enough!

The pans are original and in pretty good shape. It's got a drivers side sport seat in it. The door panels are 1969 type.

It has great history and has been throughly researched by it's current owner who is a long time rally enthusiast and has owned another Waldegaard car.

I've seen quite a bit of documentation and pics of the car....it's the real deal, but a restoration would be encouraged.

The car came with a 100L tank, limited slip, skid plates, etc. Not sure if the current gearbox has a limited slip in it.

GREAT car....I had a keen interest in it, but have turned my radar to another car.

    Eric,

Säger du det! And the chassis number is? Tusen tack. I believe this is a shot of the original engine compartment but not 100% sure. Cool, whatever! Is this "factory?" How about the original engine, did it have some kind of factory sports package as I don't recall seeing such packages pre-'68?

    Replying to my own post..

Google Maps Are cool! I don't give the link but if you search, you can locate this exact spot! OK, I lied. Second pic, I believe we are at the intersection of N62 at the south end.....41 years ago!

You could get factory sport and rally kits pre-68, ask me how I know :-)

Also, there's a guy here who posted pics of a 100L tank from a Waldegard
car, I think he had it in his possession. It was in Bob Tilton's "show
    me your trunks" thread here.

    On the first picture:

    - what is the guy welding? Engine mount to chassis?

    - does any one have a spare R mud flap as shown on the picture (it reads PORSCHE)? I have the L but am in search of a R.

    Thanks

And with the Euro down to $1.25, this is quite a deal I think. If the dollar continues to strengthen maybe the car flow to Europe will reverse...... if anyone has money to buy cars with.
