Lovely early set there Rower, made 1963-1967. Tritium dials in nice condition, looks like they need a service based on the hour window being stuck on the Monte! Great thing to find in a random box.

Not only a nice early set, but the most useful Heuer pairing... a Mastertime and a Monty are the classic rally clocks.

Wonderful surprise! Have any other boxes like that?

The seller’s father bought and used them in rallies
Thank you for telling me the vintage.

As for the disk, why on the Monte Carlo is there on lume on half of one of the hands? Aging or by design? Is this common and/or affect value?

I forgot what I paid for them, but what’s the range of value today?

I need to put them to use at some point! I had bought them for a 67S big tank rally car I owned some time ago but never mounted them , so that explains the year I guess (maybe a later model would be more appropriate?). I definitely liked the look when I saw them.

If they don’t get mounted in a car, is there a nice way to display them? A wood desk mount available?

Finally (I keep editing and adding to this post!) where do I get the 4 mounting screws for the plate? Size? It’s a stainless flat head screw?

The hands on your set are original - all Monte Carlos have only the top half of the hour hand painted with lume - as for why, I'm not quite sure!

The value ranges from between (prices in GBP apologies!) £1500 for a rough condition set in non-working/unserviced condition to £2500 for excellent/NOS boxed examples. I'd put this set in the £1900 - £2100 range if the case chrome is in nice condition. The 3 button Monte/3-6-9-12 MasterTime combination is the most desirable.

I would go to a local carpenter and get a nice "toblerone" triangular section of rosewood or teak cut to mount them on. I stock the correct stainless screws to mount these to the dashboard in flat head and domed head, I'd be happy to send a set for postage cost.

One of my earliest acquisitions - $5. Spent many years screwed to the instrument panel of an open boat, hence the pitting from salt water exposure. Still works perfectly.
