    A guy I work with said he saw a 73RS sell at auction on TV last weekend sell for 450k. Anyone else see this?

    That was likely the 1972 RS prototype coupe a very unusual car. Literally one of one, a term that is so overused today because of TV auction coverage.

    It sold for $480K at Bonham's and Butterfiield Monterey auction...

    If someone bought a production RS for over $400K I'm not aware of it...
