    Been visiting this site for quite some time and finally decided I should pay a membership fee and actually participate a bit. Some of you may know me from a couple of the other boards. I have a later car, but it has many hints of an earlier time. From the hounds tooth inserts, RS door panels, RS carpets & ducktail to the megaphone exhaust tips. Its on the cover of the the latest Excellence (http://www.excellence-mag.com/art2/art2p1.html) Anyway, this is a great site and a lot of enjoyable reads. Now that my present car is finished, I'm thinking of making an early car, so this site is even more important now. Glad to be here.

    I also found the article interesting and entertaining.

    The photos are great- the same photographer shot and wrote the story on my car.

    Thanks...think I'd like to chat some time about your 2.5....kind of what I'm thinking for a motor.....I drove a short stroke 2.5 quite some time ago, but my memory was that it was quite a nice little piece. Pretty sure it was on carbs.

    Mr. Straub...you probably don't remember me, but I remember you from back in the '80's in the San Diego Region...wow that's a long time ago.

    Flunder....can't wait to see your car finished...and glad the bits I sent you are going on that car....its where they deserve to be....wait a tick....now that I'm possibly doing an early car....I'll want them back!

    Welcome. I've been looking hard into a 964 for my next car and love the look of yours. For something 20 years newer, it's got a good early 911 feel to it.
