    2.0 E piston top

    Anybody have a picture of one?? is it the same as the 2.0 S piston top?? Thanks,

    No...very different; shallower crown and shallower valve pockets for the E. No pictures handy other than the ones in my head.

    I agree, sorta. The piston top stayed mostly the same ’65 911 through ’69 911E. The piston is a cast aluminum version with a full skirt and 9.0:1 CR for the ’65-’68 911 and 9.1:1 for the ’69 911E. There were various ring changes early on. All of these pistons used a Biral cylinder.

    A 911S piston is very different. Aside from the higher piston top to achieve 9.8:1 or 9.9:1 CR and the valve relief to accommodate larger valves and higher lift, these were forged aluminum pistons with ‘slipper-skirt’ design and (naturally) all the rings above the wrist pin. Again a Biral cylinder was used.
